August 2016

Remember the H word tapestry project?  Such fun!  To see all go to the following link:

These pictures are of the Art Walk display of the North Peace Spinners and Weavers of Fort St. John at Ideal Office Solutions. The Art Walk was held for two months this year from May 14 to July 16.  This gave us lots of time to go from select business to business throughout town viewing the art on display.  Thank you to Norma and Debbie for this display.

Words from a novel by Elizabeth Goudge

Somehow the creation of a thing that was intended simply to be beautiful and nothing else gave her a feeling of spaciousness that was simply delicious.

Why?

Because a thing that has no practical value but exists simply to be beautiful, a picture or a symphony, or yellow poppies enriching white satin, is a vision of reality.

Why?

A thing that's intended to be useful ties down your spirit to mundane things, but a thing that is simply beautiful opens a window and lets you go free-that's why you feel spacious....
