30th Anniversary September 2014

Peace Country Spinners and Weavers celebrated our 30th Anniversary at the Lake Saskatoon Hall in September. Shannon represented 1984 by wearing a Missoni knit ensemble from that year, made in Italy, of wool, mohair, alpaca and nylon. Lorena had attended the first PCSW meeting 30 years ago.

The Rya Rug or Wall Hanging Workshop presented by Donna Rudd was great.

Donna's wall hangings, rugs and fabric have to be experienced in person to understand their true sensual magic.  My pictures do not do them justice.

Hard at work learning the technique!

Show and Tell

Marion's shadow weave scarf

Marjo's mohair and wool cowls

Norma's rug hooking sample, advertising the upcoming workshop.  A good way to use hand spun yarn.
