Lake Saskatoon Weavers

The Lake Saskatoon Weavers participated in this event this month.  They were using a blending board and spinning different colors of fibre for a fundraising event.  Each participant in a golf 4some picked a color that they liked and the colours were blended.  From there it was spun and then woven into a scarf.  The scarf was auctioned off, in advance of making it, for $200 and proceeds donated to ANSO.  ANSO Collectives and Educational Support Society is dedicated to the advancement of education, the relief of poverty, and the improvement of the status quo in disadvantaged communities in Africa, North America and Cambodiahttp://www.ansoinfo.com/index.html

Mae, Lorraine, Marion and Shannon all participated and had a good time.  Here are some of the pictures.
